Edouard Ferlet et Violaine Cochard’s Bach Plucked Unplucked opens a new wide field of freedom and creativity where the two artists meet, between words and strings. Ferlet is a jazz pianist and composer, mastering improvisation ; Cochard is an accomplished harpsichord baroque player: both curious minds, with a strong appetite for new experiments, but also rich with their own repertoire and musical culture. The rare association of plucked and struck strings inspires this unique and compelling musical experience where improvisations and Bach music mix with Ferlet’s original jazz compositions. This two parts invention, matured throughout mutual understanding, friendship and respect for one another instrumental practice, reveals an exciting and unknown musical world.
